On Thursday 26 August, Year 6 students and Year 5 Mini Vinnies engaged in a Zoom conference with UOW International students living in Japan, China and Thailand. These students are currently involved in a program called ‘Project Unite’ which is based around the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

Our students presented on a range of topics that focused on environmental and sustainability practices and procedures that we have in place within our school and wider communities. Some topics addressed included our school garden, ’The Patch’, recycling and rubbish disposal, Trash Free Tuesday, Mini Vinnies initiatives and the Enviro Ninjas Leadership Team.

Students were given the opportunity to ask questions of the International students which strengthened their knowledge about those involved and the culture and traditions of the people and country.
