On behalf of the St Columbkille's School community, I would like to announce the retirement of Miss Suzanne Geoghegan. For 41 dedicated years Miss Geoghegan provided the students in her care with the foundational building blocks to being Literate and Numerate, patient, kind and considerate.   She loved being a teacher and was passoniate about the many, many students that have been in her care.  

Miss Geoghegan attended St Columbkille’s as a Kinder student in 1961. She then moved across to Holy Cross Catholic High school in Bellambi, before moving to Sydney to study teaching at the Catholic Teachers College, Mount Street, North Sydney from 1975 to 1977. Her first teaching position was as a Kindergarten teacher to 41 students at St Francis Xavier’s School, Wollongong in 1978. In 1994, she accepted a change, to work as an Infants teacher at St Columbkille’s Catholic School, Corrimal, where she taught until her retirement.

Congratulations to Miss Geoghegan. We will miss her greatly, but she will always be a treasured part of our school's history and culture.

As Miss Geoghegan is currently on Long Service Leave until the end of Term 2, her replacement will be announced early next term.
