Principal's Message

Dear Parents and Carers,
Hope that you are well and enjoying your week.
As we move into this religious time of Lent, it is an opportunity to reflect on and to be grateful for the many wonderful and opportunities that we have in our lives. On Tuesday, we hosted the annual CEDoW Caritas: Project Compassion Launch in the MD Hall.

'Lent is the favourable season for renewing our encounter with Christ, living in his word, in the sacraments and in our neighbour'  - Pope Francis
In attendance was Bishop Brian Mascord, Tim Gilmour CEDoW Deputy Director, Emily Hickman Associate Director of Project Compassion Australia, CEDoW representatives, Principal’s, Assistant Principal, Religious Education Coordinators, teachers and students from across our Diocese. It was a wonderful privilege to be hosting the Caritas 2023 Project Compassion - For All Future Generations Launch at SCC.

The key message that aligned beautifully with the fundamental principal of both Lent and Project Compassion was wee have a responsibility to acknowledge, pray, support and serve those in greatest of need. That through a collective sense of  compassion, hope, care and generosity, we can truly make a difference for this generation and those to come.

I was exceptionally proud of the organisation and support of the SCC Team, in making the Caritas: Project Compass launch such a success. Our visitors were highly complimentary of our school, staff and students.

Thank you to our staff - Mrs Herring, Mrs Disibio, Mrs Perre, Ms Patton, Ms Finlay-Joseph, Ms Howard, Mrs Pascoe and Mrs Sumner and to our students Livinia McLuskey, Claude Vincent, Alyssa Bishop, Dominic Raschilla, Vogue Catlin, Sabina/Isobel Santillan and the SCC Choir for their parts in the Liturgy and Launch.

Thank you for your ongoing support and following Carlines expectations. It is both important and necessary to maintain these expectations, and in particular, adhering to not lining up in Rosalia Ln prior to 3pm. We are continually seeking feedback from staff, parents and our neighbours to refine and further improve our current practice.
On Sunday 5 March at 9:30am, our Parish will be celebrating K-6 Family Mass and morning tea. The Parish warmly invites both our new Kinder and current families to attend this celebration.
