Last Thursday, Year 5 were fortunate to visit Mary MacKillop Place, North Sydney, as part of our learning about the Early Catholic Church in Australia. We visited the museum, interactive galleries, Alma Cottage (which has St Mary of the Cross MacKillop’s original desk and table) and the Chapel, which is Mary’s final resting place.

During our visit we were lucky to be guided by Sr Annie, who was a wealth of knowledge, and we thank Jessica M (5G) for writing a thank you letter to her on our behalf.

Year 5 has been on a number of excursions this term, with even another incursion booked for early next term, and we are very thankful to the P&F for funding this excursion for us, supporting our learning about the history of Catholics in Australia.
