Patch News
The Patch is going really well and has been a big success from the start. The students love it and are in the process of re-vamping the Patch mostly by themselves.
Initially, we were going to replace the metal beds with wooden ones.   However, with help from Sam Immens and Rob Docherty, the existing metal beds were cut in half and we were able to reuse them. By doing this, we now have four garden beds at the correct height, that the students have proudly put together.
As the ground slopes slightly, James Mannion has built in a small step which retains the ground and supports the earth on the road side.  More steps will soon be built and the beds filled with soil.
Special thanks to Nancy Kettley for ongoing help, support and enthusiasm.
A new garden hose has been purchased, but has not yet been installed.
Hopefully the new Patch will be fully complete in a few months.
