Principal's Message

Dear Parents and Carers,

I hope the Easter long weekend provided you with the opportunity to enjoy the company of family and friends, complete some of your favourite activities and time to sit and be with God.

This April marks 120 years since the opening of the first school building in Midgley Street by the Sisters of St Joseph of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Our students will acknowledge this in classroom lessons and as a school community we will celebrate this milestone in conjunction with St Columba Day on Friday 7 June.

Congratulations to our Project Compassion Easter Raffle winners:

Thank you to Mrs Herring and our Mini Vinnies for the organisation of the raffle. In total $1191.25 was raised from the raffle and Project Compassion Boxes for Project Compassion.  This is an outstanding result.  Well Done St Columbkille's!
Thank you also to Fr Anthony and our parishioners for sharing the joy of Easter with all of our students. Your gift of chocolate eggs was very much appreciated.
Kindergarten 2025 enrolments are now due.  If you or someone you know has a child who will start Primary School next year, please complete the online enrolment before the end of Term 1. Interviews with Mrs Perre and myself will commence in Term 2.
Kinder 2025 Enrolments
Students and staff will return for Term 2 on Monday 29 April.  We will remain in Summer uniform upon our return, with a transition period from Monday 6 May where students may choose to wear Summer or Winter uniform.  The switch to full Winter uniform will be from Monday 20 May.
As we come to the end of Term 1, I take this opportunity to thank you for your ongoing support of our school community and for engaging in the life of our school and parish in a positive and respectful manner.
May the two week break from school allow you with time to live a little less to a time schedule and more time to be truly present to yourself and your family.
Warm regards,
Maria Disibio - Acting Principal
