Refugee Week
From Sunday 16 to Saturday 22 June 2024, we will celebrate Refugee Week with the theme of Finding Freedom: Family.
This theme invites us to explore the stories of refugees who, despite the challenges they encounter, discover a source of freedom within the embrace of their families.
Whether it’s the unwavering support of parents, the protective love between siblings, or the communal strength found in extended and chosen families, neighbours, support systems upon arrival in Australia or the financial and emotional backbones that make the journey to safety possible, these connections become a beacon of hope in times of uncertainty. Family / Parish Mass
Our second Family/Parish Mass for the term will be held this Sunday 9th June 2024 @ 9.30am.
It is also the parish acknowledgment for the patron saint of our church, St Columba, and so will be a wonderful euxharistic celebration followed by morning tea.
Everyone is very welcome to attend.
Sacramental Update
All Confirmation enrolments have now been accepted and our Year 6 students are busily preparing in class. These candidates will take on a role at one of the Sunday Masses occuring in the near future. We keep these students, and their families, in our prayers.
Feast Day / 120 Year Anniversary
A huge thank you to all those who have helped prepare or had a role in leading our wonderful Mass today. It was a combined effort made possible by the dedication of our staff, students and parents. It is always a treat to have live music at a Mass, so thank you to Marguerite for leading our band 'The Cobras'. I am sure our special guests enjoyed our eucharistic celebration.
