Book Week
Celebrating Book Week: A Magical Journey into the World of Reading
Book Week is one of the most exciting times of the year at our school! While the much anticipated dress-up Book Parade is a highlight for both students and staff, the real magic of Book Week lies in something deeper. It’s about inspiring our students to fall in love with reading.
This year, we’ve pulled out all the stops to make Book Week a truly memorable experience. Our staff have worked hard to collaborate in organising a fun-filled week of activities that bring stories to life and spark curiosity in every student. Whether it’s through flash-storytelling sessions, creative videos, or the joy of seeing their teachers in costume, our goal is to show our students that reading can be a magical adventure.
But beyond the costumes and the laughter, what really shines through for me is the commitment of our staff. They genuinely care about our students and our community, and are all passionate about sharing their love of books. By coming together to celebrate Book Week, we’re not just fostering a love of reading; we’re also showing our students that learning can be joyful, collaborative and most importantly, fun.
So, as we dive into this special week, we hope that our students are as excited as we are to explore new stories, discover new worlds, and maybe even find their next favourite book. Here’s to a week filled with imagination, laughter, and a whole lot of reading!
I look forward to seeing you at our Book Parade on Wednesday morning.
Best wishes to you all -
Katrina Carroll, SCC Librarian
