Dear Parents and Carers, 

It was wonderful to celebrate our Father figures this morning with picnic breakfast followed by our liturgy and open classrooms.  Thank you to all who were able to join us and to Mrs Herring and her team for the oragnisation of the Liturgy.  We hope you enjoyed the time with the children and we hope you enjoy your Father's Day.  

I thank those families who have transitioned into the summer uniform in the correct manner. The way our students proudly wear their uniform is often discussed positively at enrolment interviews.  

Next week many of our Year 3 students will prepare for receiving the Sacrament of Holy Communion through particpation in the Communion Retreat Day.  I ask our whole school community to keep these students in our thoughts and prayers. The Eucharist, also known as Holy Communion, is considered the source and summit of the Church's life, and receiving the Eucharist is a way for Catholics to connect with Christ and the Church community.

On Friday 6 September the school community will celebrate Footy Colours Colour as an opportunity to acknowledge the benifits of living an active lifestyle and as a way to raise money for Fight Cancer Foundation.  Students can wear colours of any favourite sporting team and with the Olmpics still in the air what a wonderful opportunity to wear green and gold.
