Prayer for Creation
On the 20th of March, the Year 6 Enviro Ninjas, along with Miss Ah Tong, attended the Wollongong Environmental Network Day at St Brigid’s in Gwynneville. A highlight of the day was the creation of a special prayer for the environment, co-constructed by the students. This prayer, designed to be used throughout the year for various environmental events, reflects the students’ deep respect for creation and their desire to protect it. With beautiful expressions of praise, thanksgiving, and petitions for God’s guidance, the prayer invites us all to be stewards of the Earth. The students’ creative and inclusive choice of names for God in the prayer was especially moving, and we look forward to using it in our own school community.
