Sacred Sparks
On the 26th of June, 16 talented students from both Years 5 and 6 went to Good Samaritan in Fairy Meadow to participate in the first ever Sacred Sparks Octathlon. It was an interesting and fun experience, and we were all honoured to be part of it!
The 8 subjects we participated in were Science, English, Mathematics, Cartography, Code Breaking, Engineering, Religion and Creative Interpretation (Drama). The other schools there were St Michael’s
, Good Samaritan and St Joseph’s.
Year 5 came 2nd in Science and received the Sacred Sparks award which showed they demonstrated Perseverance, Integrity and Teamwork throughout the day. They also came 1st in Cartography and Code breaking.
Year 6 came first in English, Cartography, Religion, and the very special Sacred Sparks award!
We were all very proud to represent the school and we congratulated every school for doing amazing jobs, we feel that we did our very best and it paid off! ??
