Dear Parents and Carers,
We should all be very poud of our school community and how we have supported, worked with and cared for one another in a year of fires, floods and COVD-19. Thank you.
Last Tuesday, we formally acknowledged Year 6 and their families at the Graduation and Presentation evening in the Casey Ryder Centre, Holy Spirit College. This event is a significant time of gratitude and celebration, as well as a time to acknowledge the students and their families for all that they have contributed to our wonderful school. I would like to express my sincere thanks to Mr Ryan Park (Member for Keira), Mrs Nicky Bishop (P&F President), Mrs Mary Munn (Graduation Cookies), and Mrs Nicole Ackhurst (Year 6 Graduation Book), Xavier Palermo (Year 6 movie) Mrs Barrett, Mrs Gaffney, Mrs Tyrrell and Mrs Disibio, along with the many our Staff for their support, both in the preparation and on the night itself.
There are a number of families leaving our school community today. The Year 6 Farewell Horseshoe was a wonderful way to acknowledge both our Year 6 students and their families as they moved off into high school. I take this opportunity to thank each of you for your contributions during your time at St Columbkille’s. Personally, I hope that you take with you many fond memories and I wish you much happiness for the journey that lies ahead. You will always be part of us here at St Columbkille’s.
Thank you to the following families: Baggio, Bailey, Banfield, Cappellin, Cappochiano, Collyer, Dorrington, Drady, Dubowski, Elston, Ezquerro, Giblet, Hart, Holl, Hurley, Kordalis, Locke, Manago, Mauroplous, Otsyula, Palermo, Petre, Pleace, Ramirez, Sharman, Smart, Tortorici, Whiddon and Wood.
Congratulations to the following Graduation Presentation Year 6 Award recipients;

Wishing you a very merry, holy and safe Chrisitmas with family and friends.
Take care - Brad Colquhoun (Principal)

Another wonderful year has come and nearly gone! It has been a challenging and adventurous year, in light of the COVID-19 pandemic, however there are many blessings for which we can certainly be grateful. In 2020 each of the students at St Columbkille’s have had a chance to learn more about their Catholic religion within teaching and learning opportunities, either at school or completed remotely. These students have also learnt what it means to be a faith-filled person by being involved in a number of out of class/school opportunities. Both aspects run alongside each other and are equally important for the development of the whole child. Thank you to everyone who has helped with and/or been involved in our liturgies/celebrations, parish events/sacraments and fundraising initiatives. We look forward to working with you again in 2021 by living out the gospel values of Jesus that linked to our school- Respect, Responsibility, Learning, Community, Celebration and Faith. God bless and have a peaceful, happy and safe Christmas!

Message from Father Patrick and St Columbkille’s Parish
Online bookings for Christmas Masses opened on Monday 7 December. With the recent changes to the NSW Government restrictions we are expecting our Church capacities to increase and will use where possible, all spaces available to us. We will however have some restrictions imposed on us. We ask that parishioners only register for one of the Masses over the Christmas period to allow for all parishioners and families a chance to attend the Masses at this time. For the Italian Mass please contact Father Angelo.
For St Columbkille’s go to https://corrimalparish.eventbrite.com.au/ or scan the QR Code below to go straight to the registration page.
REGISTRATIONS FOR MASSES CLOSE 1 HOUR BEFORE EACH MASS. IF YOU REGISTER AFTER 2:30pm on Friday please take confirmation of registration with you to show the monitors at the Mass you are attending.
PLEASE CONTACT THE OFFICE IF YOU NEED ANY HELP
On Wednesday morning St Columbkille's staff and students joined together for a final Christmas celebration. The events of Jesus’ birth were reflected on, as well as showing our gratitude for the year which is ending. During the celebration a representative from the Corrimal St Vincent de Paul chapter graciously accepted the many donations provided by our staff, families and students. Thank you for the many wonderful Christmas items, which will help out many in our community this year. We are truly blessed to have such a supportive partnership between our parents/carers and our school community.
Yours in faith,
Mrs Jo Herring - Religious Education Coordinator

Thank you for all the presents you have donated. The children are going to be very happy when they get their gifts in hospital. COVID-19 have been very hard, but harder on all the sick children and their families.
You have helped them out.
